The AI engine is Real-ESRGAN (realesr-general-x4v3), the same open-source super-resolution model used by many paid services. Running it in your browser rather than on a server is a delivery choice, not a quality compromise — the model weights are identical.
Is there a file-size limit?
No. Since nothing is uploaded, there is no upload cap. A 50 MB picture loads fine. The AI pass reads up to 4 megapixels on GPU-accelerated devices (0.7 MP on CPU-only) and outputs up to 40 megapixels.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The tool works in any modern mobile browser — Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android. The AI model runs on WebGPU where the browser supports it and on WebAssembly elsewhere — always on iPhone and iPad, where it is slower and reads at most 0.7 megapixels — so it adapts to your hardware automatically.
Can I enhance multiple pictures at once?
Up to 20 per batch. The same settings apply to all of them, and Download all saves every enhanced file in one go. Start a new batch as soon as you are done — there is no session limit.
Will I get watermarked results?
Never. The output is a clean enhanced picture with no overlay, badge or branding. What you download is exactly what the split preview shows.
Does the online enhancer work offline?
Once the AI engine has downloaded — the 4.9 MB model plus its runtime — enhancing needs no connection, so you can switch the network off and keep going in the open tab. No internet connection is needed during actual processing.

Why “online” does not mean “uploaded”

Most online picture enhancers upload your file to a GPU server, process it, and send it back — which is why they need accounts, impose limits and add watermarks. This tool takes the opposite approach: the AI model and its runtime ship to your browser as a one-time download (the model itself is 4.9 MB) and run on your device through WebGPU or WebAssembly. “Online” here means you open a web page — not that your picture travels across the internet.

The result is a tool that is genuinely free because there is no per-image cost, works on any device with a browser, and keeps your pictures completely private. Once the AI engine has downloaded, the enhancer even keeps working with the network switched off.
