This tool takes the opposite approach: the AI model ships to your browser as a one-time 4.9 MB download and runs on your device through WebGPU or WebAssembly. The model itself is Real-ESRGAN (realesr-general-x4v3), an open-source super-resolution network released under the BSD licence. It is the same model that powers many paid services — the difference is where it runs, not how good it is. On top of AI upscaling, the Quick fix engine applies instant corrections for exposure, contrast, colour and sharpness using the Canvas API, which every modern browser supports natively.
